DECOMPOSITION METHOD OF POLY VINYL ALCOHOL IN WASTE WATER

摘要

The poly-vinyl alcohol (PVA) decomposition method using immobilized microorganisms consists of immobilizing Pseudomonas sp. KCTC-0021 BP and KCTC-0022 BP or mixture of two strains KCTC-0023 BP on 10-50 um of celite, perlite, zeolite, activated charcoal or floating stones from Cheju Island. Immobilized microorganisms at 30-80 g/l initial concentration can degrade PVA to over 90% within 12 hrs in PVA containing wastewater.
