<p>PURPOSE:To effectively keep the aerobic biological treatment process in aerobic condition, and improve the wastewater treatment function by adding an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution to wastewater in a prior stage to an aerobic biological treatment, decomposing the hydrogen peroxide by a catalyst containing silver or a silver alloy, and dissolving the produced oxygen in the wastewater. CONSTITUTION:In treatment of wastewater by aerobic bacteria, an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution is added to the wastewater in a prior stage to an aerobic biological treatment and a catalyst containing silver or a silver alloy is put in an aerobic biological treatment tank, for example, a precipitation tank. Consequently, since the hydrogen peroxide can be decomposed efficiently to produce oxygen, the tank, e.g. the precipitation tank, can be kept in good aerobic atmosphere constantly. As a result, since the waterwater treatment function can be improved, BOD and COD removal efficiencies are heightened and further reduction of silver sulfate contained in the wastewater is prevented and production of malodorous substances due to hydrogen sulfide, etc., is suppressed.</p> |
