PURPOSE: To prevent repeatitive defect by breaking regularity in spaces between spots in a method and a device for continuously dyeing textile yarn. CONSTITUTION: When yarns 14 for a cloth or the like are dyed, the yarns travel in front of a succession of stations 15a, 15b, 15c and a series of spots of different dyes are stuck onto the yarns, so that each yarn includes a succession of spots forming a pattern extending over a certain length L of the yarn and which is continuously repeated. The stations 15a, 15b, 15c for applying the dyes are individually commanded to corrupt the repetitiveness of the successive patterns. The method can improve the quality of carpets obtained from textile yarns 14. |
