PURPOSE:To play an acoustic piano only by an electronic sound source by stopping a struck string tone without impairing an ordinary touch feeling in the acoustic piano played by controlling the electronic sound source. CONSTITUTION:This grand piano is equipped with a hammer shunk stop rail 31 and a cushion felt 37 supported with a beater 33 in such a way that they can be turned freely via a rail ascending/descending mechanism 35, and a shutter 61 with step and key sensors 63, 65 arranged at the lower plane of a key 11. When the key 11 is depressed, a hammer shunk 21 is pushed upward by a jack 17, and it arrives at a position shown as dotted line in figure performing inertial motion, and abuts on the cushion felt 37. Since the motion of a hammer 23 is blocked after the inertia motion is started, no string plucking tone is generated, however, the ordinary touch feeling of the key 11 can be obtained. While, the motion of the key 11 is detected by the shutter 61 with step and the key sensors 63, 65, and is sent to an electronic musical instrument as MIDI information. Therefore, a playing tone can be outputted from the electronic musical instrument. |
