PURPOSE: To execute exact mapping or texture mapping like a perspective picture by a few additional computer processing by using a specific lookup table. CONSTITUTION: A polygon normalized by a three-dimensional space is projected to a two-dimensional space, and pixel values from the two-dimensional picture are mapping-processed to picture elements in the projected two-dimensional polygon. The mapping of the pixel values is attained by interpolation. A processor 41 supplies the value of the depth (z) of each interpolated pixel position to a selector 42. The selector 42 processes those (z) values, and supplies a selection signal to a memory device 43, and selects a specific non-linearly programmed lookup table for calculating the interpolation. The processor 41 addresses a value from the lookup table for correcting the interpolated position like a perspective picture so that the orbit of the position of an input picture can be interpolated. |
