The protective tube for outside cables or the like is characterised in that it is formed by a protective tube 1 made of soft plastic which is flexible and which has a rib 3 in the form of a helix on the inside surface of the protective tube 1, being made as a single piece with the latter, and in that a wire 2, made of hard steel, in the form of a helix is held in contact with the inside surface of the tube by means of the rib, this hard-steel wire being fixed to the inside surface of the tube over the entire length of the tube. <IMAGE>
