PURPOSE:To generate an effective alarm attracting attention to latent danger by judging the degree of latent danger including the degree of secondary danger which is apt to occur as the driver of the automobile takes an action for evading primary danger. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of the environment recognition output signal obtained from an environment recognition part 11, a primary danger process part 12 finds the degree of primary danger as the degree of occurrence as to the primary danger that is apt to occur at this time. At the same time, a secondary danger process part 13 finds the degree of secondary danger as the degree of occurrence as to the secondary danger which is apt to occur owing to the action for evading the primary danger. Further, a primary and secondary danger integration part 14 derives the degree of latent danger as the degree of latent danger occurrence regarding the automobile. Then an alarm generation part 17 generates an alarm attracting attention to danger that the driver of the automobile is apt to face according to the degree of latent danger found by the primary and secondary danger integration part 14.
