The invention consists, in a homing head, in interposing a plate (1) in the optical path of the light rays which emanate from a target to be detected and are focused onto a photodetector (10). The scanning of the field observed is achieved through making the plate oscillate, about a spindle (2) to which the plate is fixed, by the action of a relief track (3) fixed to the terminal ring (18) of the gyroscope rotor (4) of the homing head and bearing on pads (6, 7) fixed to the plate.
