Solid propellant composition including an oxidising agent, a fuel, a binder and at least one other additive. This composition contains a binder including, relative to the weight of the total propellant composition: (a) 3 to 12 % of a noncrystalline polyether which has a molecular weight of between 1250 and 9000 and (b) 1 to 12 % of an energetic plasticiser which has a positive heat of explosion. The propellant composition according to the invention is intended in particular for surface-to-air or surface-to-surface interceptors, for air-to-surface or air-to-air tactical engines and for space boosters.
