PURPOSE:To prevent any foreign matter from being attracted to and clogging a meshed filter by forming the meshed filter and a conveyor means from materials by which charge induced in the foreign matter by rubbing with the conveyor means is of the same polarity as that induced in the meshed filter by rubbing with the foreign matter. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a sleeve 18 is made from a material with such a charging series as to charge foreign matter such as paper dust to minus by rubbing, a nylon resin in this case. A mesh 20 is made from a resinous material with such a charging series as to be charged to minus by friction with a developer. The mesh 20 made from a polyethylene or Teflon resin is rubbed by a positive toner being charged to plus, and is thereby charged to minus. Therefore an electrostatic repulsion works between the foreign matter such as paper dust and the mesh 20, eliminating the possibility that the foreign matter is attracted to and clogs the mesh 20. |
