PURPOSE:To easily designate and select an object for an observer while performing photographing by controlling the turning angle of one of first and second video cameras at least. CONSTITUTION:When an initializing mode and a stereoscopic photographing mode are selected, the zoom optical system of two camera parts A and B are set to an initial value first, and an interval between two camera parts A and B is initialized later. Further, the camera angle is initialized so that two camera parts A and B can be made parallel. Next, photographing is performed while measuring a distance from a distance detector 31 of the camera part selected by a main camera selecting SW 25 such as the right camera part A to an object in front of the camera part A and the camera angle. Next, when the initializing mode and a panoramic photographing mode are selected, a control part 15 measures a distance to overlap the image angles of two cameras, and two cameras are focused to perform photographing based on that value. |
