<p>PURPOSE:To prevent traversal swing of a jumper wire positively by supporting the jumper wire at the intermediate part thereof by means of two polymer insulators constituting two sides of a triangle. CONSTITUTION:Two polymer insulators 21A, 21B are coupled, at the forward ends thereof, through a coupling metal 35 and further coupled, at the base end parts thereof, through a rod member 23 thus constituting a substantially triangular support 25. The rod member 23 is secured to a main leg 13 of steel tower and a jumper wire 17, extending on the side of the steel tower is supported by the coupling part at the forward ends of two polymer insulators 21A, 21B. This structure deals with the movement of jumper wire in the direction of the line through the flexibility of the polymer insulators and protects the jumper wire against damage because excessive stress does not act thereon.</p> |
