PURPOSE:To provide a cooking utensil heated in an electromagnetic induction heating cooking apparatus, lessens thermal deformation of the bottom of a deep pan, and can be placed stably in the cooking apparatus even though it undergoes a thermal deformation. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic metal layer 14 is provided over the rear surface of the bottom plate 12 of a deep pan 11 made of a non-metal material, wherein the inside surface of the bottom plate 12 is formed in a convex sphere, and it is so arranged that the bottom plate 12 deforms convex upward when it is heated. A side wall 13 in cylindrical form is furnished at the peripheral edge of this bottom plate 12 and is placed on the body 16 of an electromagnetic induction heating cooking apparatus. Even though an induction heating coil of this cooking apparatus body 16 is energized to cause the abovementioned magnetic metal layer 14 to generate heat, the bottom plate 12 makes thermal deformation upward so that there is no risk of contacting the placing part of the surface of the cooking apparatus body. |
