<p>The arrangement consists of a horizontally moving slide (4) on which the support and drive unit (20) for the cutting tool, such as a saw (21) are mounted. The slide (4) is connected by a coupling to a spindle (5) with which it is moved horizontally. The support and drive unit can be moved vertically and horizontally by a single motor (10) so that the cutter can be moved along e.g. a sinusoidal path, while the profile is fed into the gap formed between the rollers of a transporter and the cutter. A cam mechanism (24) and a pressure wheel (25) are mounted at the end of the unit which ensure that the cutter unit always carries out the same return stroke.</p> |
