PURPOSE:To judge and display whether an inspecting part of the appearance form obtained by image-processing of a linear object is within a preliminarily set appearance form, and easily grasp the inspection result. CONSTITUTION:In the wire bonding of the IC lead frame 3 of a linear material which is a subject, an inspecting condition setting data file such as standard form and dimension are preliminarily formed. A carrier 5 carries the frame 3 from a magazine 2 to an inspecting position on an inspecting stage 4. The inspecting area on the frame 3 is passed through an imaging optical system 7 and converted into a video signal by an image pickup device 9, and this video signal is image-processed 1 and measured. Namely, the form bans of a ball part and a sash fastener part such as the alignment and inclination of the frame 3 are measured. The measurement result of each item is tabulated, and statistically processed or compared with a standard to measure the quality by a host computer 13. The computer 13 displays 11 the failure part of the judgment result on the corresponding part on the general view of the subject constituted from the data file. |
