PURPOSE:To make the processing work easier, enlarge the vibration amplitude of a stator, rotate a rotor efficiently, shorten the processing work for the stator and reduce the cost. CONSTITUTION:A vibration enlarging portions 17a and 17b, coupling portions 16a and 16b, and fixing portions 15a and 15b are formed in fixed bodies 13a and 13b of a stator 10 of an ultrasonic motor; vibration enlarging portions 17a and 17b are formed to a thickness larger than the coupling portions 16a and 16b and the fixed portions 15a and 15b; and holes 19a and 19b in up-down direction are formed by press working respectively. An elastic body 21 of a ring-shaped vibration generating body 20 is provided between the vibration enlarging portions 17a and 17b. The elastic body 21 is made of a metal; a pair of piezoelectric elements 22a and 22b such as PZT are attached to the upper and lower surfaces of said elastic body 21 and is vibrated by a high frequency voltage applied; and, by the vibration, a traveling wave is generated in one direction at the vibration enlarging portions 17a and 17b. Vibration amplitude of the traveling wave is enlarged by the thickness of vibration enlarging portions and 17b. |
