PRODUCTION OF ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC TONER

PURPOSE:To produce an electrophotographic toner preventing blocking phenomenon and fixable under low energy. CONSTITUTION:A gaseous siloxane monomer is converted into plasma under the conditions of 10-150W high-frequency power and 0.02-0.2 Torr pressure and toner particles having <=60 deg.C glass transition temp. and <=80 deg.C melting start temp. are brought into contact with the resulting plasma atmosphere for 10sec to 30min to form plasma-polymerized films on the surfaces of the toner particles. The objective electrophotographic toner is produced.
