PURPOSE:To decrease the number of components at a control section and to simplify the wiring thereto while shortening the length thereof. CONSTITUTION:In the drive motor 14 for jam protection power window, a motor body 26 for lifting/lowering a window glass is coupled with a gear box 32 containing an element board 44 incorporating an ECU for driving and controlling the motor body 26 and the drive motor 14 is integrated with the ECU. A worm wheel 38 is provided with a magnet 50 and a Hall IC is mounted on the element board 44. When the worm wheel 38 rotates (through rotation of the drive motor 14), pulses are delivered from the Hall ICs 52, 54. The ECU counts the pulses and controls the motor to take an anticatching measure when the number of pulses is lower than (n). When the number of pulses reaches (n), the motor is controlled not to take anticatching measure. |
