PURPOSE:To prevent an output abnormality generation phenomenon by applying a film made of catalyst active metal on the surface of a heating section of a heater to check the settlement of a silicon compound or a fluorine compound on an electrode inside a solid electrolyte tube. CONSTITUTION:An oxidation catalyst active metal 204 such as porous Pt is applied in a film on the surface of a heating part 204 of a heater 200 arranged in a bag-shaped tube body 100 comprising a solid electrolyte. The action of an oxidation catalyst on a silicon based or fluorine based gas of the metal film 204 is maintained being raised so that the temperature of the metal film 204 is always maintained hither by a portion than the temperature of an electrode 10 on the side of a reference gas. Hence, a member made of a silicon rubber (resin) or a fluorine based resin is heated up to a high temperature and a silicon based or fluorine based gas generated settles effectively on the metal film 204 as oxide compound. This enables the checking of a phenomenon of sensor output abnormality otherwise caused by the settlement of the gas on the electrode 106 as low coagulation point oxide. |
