<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability by a method wherein a soft metal of same group as the wire intrudes forcibly into the gap between the strands of wire through cold plastic working. CONSTITUTION:A tubular split soft metal 1, prior to molding, is disposed while surrounding a wire 2. Similarly, tubular mold 8 and piston 9 split into more than one piece by a plane or planes extending in parallel with the axis of the wire are at predetermined positions and then the pieces are combined using bolts or pins into moldable form. The mold 8, the soft metal 1, and the piston 9 are then arranged with the mold 8 being fixed and the piston 9 is pushed into the molding part of the mold 8 by means of a hydraulic cylinder having a central hole for passing the wire 2 thus molding the soft metal 1 into a wire anchor metal. Consequently, mechanically rigid anchoring is realized while decreasing the dimensions of components as compared with a conventional anchoring metal utilizing frictional force and significant weight reduction is achieved as a whole.</p> |
