METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DISPLAYING ANALYZED RESULT OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL FLOW

PURPOSE:To detect direction and speed of a flow at each position and each time point in a flow field and easily grasp the whole state of the flow in a display apparatus displaying an analyzed result of the three-dimensional flow. CONSTITUTION:Input device 5 inputs as display parameters the number of particles, a time when a display is started, a time interval of displays, and the number of precedent steps of a to-be-displayed locus of particles to a CPU 1. The CPU 1 calculates a state and a time series change of a flow field from scholar data showing the state of the flow field stored in an external memory device 4, data of the locus of particles stored in a RAM 3 and the display parameters. Moreover, the CPU 1 indicates a position of each particle at a certain time point and a locus of all particles since a designated number of steps before respectively by a symbol and a line at a display device 6. The symbol and the line are shown in different colors for every flow field. The display is made repeatedly at designated time intervals, thereby, the whole state of the flow field is displayed.
