PURPOSE:To reduce clogging of a porous outer periphery of a chip piece in the case of releasing from molds by radially opening split molds of the molds after compact molding. CONSTITUTION:Two split molds 10a, 10b are brought into contact with one another by forward movements of plungers 12a, 12b, and radially opened by retracting movements of the plungers 12a, 12b. Thus, since the molds 10a, 10b are separated from chip pieces after compact molding, rubbing of an outer periphery of the piece with protrusions of a surface roughness of inner uneven surfaces of molding holes 10a', 10b' can be effectively avoided when the piece after compact molding is pressed from the molds 10 to be released from the molds 10 by further pressing a lower mold 14. Accordingly, in the case of releasing the mold, clogging of a porous outer periphery of the piece can be reduced. |
