System for speedily opening envelopes, packets or any other container used for sending mail or any other type of document. According to the invention, the envelope includes two perforated lines and/or an adhesive strip of plastic or polyester, or any other material stronger than paper which exists at present or might be developped in the future. The envelope is opened by pulling on the adhesive or precut strip. Pulling has the effect of tearing the two perforated lines.
