<p>A spring hinge and method of making same are disclosed. The spring hinge (30) has a housing (32) enclosing the spring (38) and its associated shaft (36). The housing (32) includes projections (66, 68) adjacent the ends of the spring (38) such that upon rotation of the spring (38) in either direction, an end of the spring (38) is engaged by the housing (32) and the spring (38) is caused to expand into the 'wrap open' condition.</p> |
