<p>The sequential demagnetization circuit of the invention, related to demagnetization systems for color image tubes of receivers and monitors, is comprised of the functional association of a capacitor (C) which, through resistors (R1), (R2) and thyristors (T1), (T2), is charged alternatingly to a voltage (+V1), a demagnetizing coil (L) which, together with the capacitor (C), forms a resonant circuit through which circulates an alternating and sequential current when the energy stored in the capacitor (C) is discharged through the demagnetizing coil (L), diodes (D2), (D1) and the thyristors (T1), (T2), the latter being controlled by a control circuit (CI) which is a multivibrator which is connected when a voltage (+V2) occurs and which reduces its oscillation frequency versus the time until it disappears, so that the sequential charge of the capacitor (C) is reduced in relation to time and that only the first period of damped oscillation produced by the discharge of the capacitor (C) circulates through the demagnetizing coil (L), so as to charge it again and repeat the discharge cycle till the oscillatory current is damped out.</p> |
