The invention relates to a self-closing closure (1) for a container or a tube (2), preferably for pasty or fluid compounds, having a closure lid (14) which has an exit opening (22), and a closure pin (17) which is arranged in the closure (1) and closes the exit opening (22) from the inside, the closure pin (17) releasing the closure opening (22) because of an increase of pressure in the closure (1), using an elasticity inherent in the closure (1). In order also to achieve a simple construction with reliable functioning, the invention proposes that the closure (1) has a closure chamber (12), that the closure pin (17) with a pressure base (18) assigned to it is enclosed in the closure chamber (12) and that a through-flow opening (10) into the closure chamber (12) can be closed. <IMAGE>
