A magnetic antenna having an antenna conductor in the form of a ring whose circumferential length is preferably less than half a wavelength. The antenna conductor (1) is split at two mutually diametrically opposite points in order to form two radiation sources, and a capacitor (C1, C2), which electrically connects the adjacent ends of the two ring halves (1a, 1b) to one another, is inserted into each of the two separation points (T1, T2), the two ring halves (1a, 1b) which form the radiation sources each being smaller than a quarter of a wavelength and the two capacitors being trimmable and one of the two separation points (T1) being used as an energy supply point or energy output point. <IMAGE>
