The invention relates to a spinning apparatus for producing a spun yarn by the use of rotating twist-imparting compressed-air flows, by means of which a running non-twisted drawn staple-fibre bunch (F) is twisted before it runs through a hollow spindle. The airflow acting on the fibre bunch (F) is generated in a cavity of a nozzle block having at least one injection nozzle opening into this. An inner wall of an inlet orifice of the nozzle block and a guide face of a needle holder (4) inserted therein and having a middle longitudinal axis delimit a fibre-bunch passage. The guide face located between a rear edge (4b) and a front edge (4c) of the needle holder (4) is twisted in the manner of a helical surface. A guide element (5) connected to the needle holder (4) projects towards the inlet of the hollow spindle. The fibre bunch (F) is guided around one side of the guide element (5) by the guide face. The airflow rotates undisturbed and without a formation of eddies. <IMAGE>
