A device for liquid treatment and dewatering material suspensions, comprising two cylindric rotary liquid permeable press rolls (10), which are located in a vat (11), which partially encloses the rolls. The rolls (10) between themselves form a nip (14), and a space (12) converging to the nip is formed between the bottom portion (16) of the vat (11) and each roll (10). The bottom portion (16) of the vat (11) is openable. The sealing between the vat (11) and its bottom portion (16) consists of a shoulder (10) on the vat (11) and extending all about the same, which shoulder co-operates with a bar (19) on the bottom portion (16) and extending all about the same. The bar (19) is adjustable so as to determine the position of the bottom portion (16) and thereby the size of the converging space (12).
