The programmable read-only memory of the data carrier contains a zone prohibiting access through external data and permitting access only through internal data. It has a second zone in which all writing and reading operations controlled by internal parts and by external data supplied to the carrier are permitted.In a third reading zone, only reading operations controlled as above are permitted. The microprocessor contains switches for reading and writing as well as transmitting and receiving elements for the data to be read and written in the memory
