A weight supervisor for lorries determines both the total weight and the weight of different parts of the motor vehicle, both during the journey and when at a standstill. The measured values are recorded in order to supervise older values and to enable tracking of the values. The weight supervisor has a plurality of sensors which are fitted to various points on the motor vehicle. The sensors supply data corresponding to the weights at these points. Furthermore, a processing unit is provided which collects these data and is connected to a recording unit, a control panel and a display device.
