<p>Rotary connector (11) for use with a flexible elongate member (12) having electrical properties and having a proximal extremity (16) with at least first and second conductive spaced-apart sleeves (26, 27) provided thereon. A housing (31) is provided having a bore (32) therein. First and second spaced-apart conductive disks (61) are disposed in said bore. The disks are adapted to have the proximal extremity of the flexible elongate member extend therethrough and to have the conductive sleeves be in contact with the conductive disks while permitting rotation of the flexible elongate member, a push button clamping assembly (81) is carried by the housing for retaining the proximal extremity of the flexible elongate member in the housing. Leads (71) are connected to the conductive disks.</p> |
