PURPOSE:To prevent early occurrence of fog and staining in a copying machine by using a carrier having a specified coating layer comprising a specified polymer and a polymer of a positively electrifiable monomer on each core grain and a toner containing a colorant and an electrification controller dispersed into a resin. CONSTITUTION:The developer is composed of the positively electrifiable carrier prepared by coating each core grain with the coating layer containing the copolymer of fluorinated alkyl, such as 1,1-dihydroperfluoroethyl (meth)acrylate, and as a copolymerizing monomer, such as styrene, methylstyrene, dimethylstyrene, or trimethylstyrene, and one of the positively electrifiable polymer, such as a polymer of (meth)acrylate or an N-containing vinyl monomer, and of the toner containing the Cr complex salt of a 0,0'-dihydroxyazo dye dispersed into the resin as the colorant and the electrification controller, thus permitting early occurrence of fog and staining in the machine to be prevented and the obtained developer to be extended in life. |
