PURPOSE:To effect a continuous treatment by a method wherein, when a liq. in a reaction tank reaches a high water level, the supply of air from an air diffusion pipe and the solid-liquid separation by membrane modules are restarted and the aerobic and anaerobic decomposition of the liq. is effected while the liq. is being continuously supplied for treatment. CONSTITUTION:An untreated liq. is continuously supplied to the activated sludge remaining in a reaction tank 1. When air is being supplied from an air diffusion pipe 6, since an aerobic decomposition of a liq. mixture proceeds, the liq. separated from solid through a membrane module 4 is carried out of the reaction tank and a major portion of microorganism-cultured solid content remains therein, the liq. level is lowered. When air is not being supplied, since an anaerobic decomposition proceeds and a solid-liquid separation is stopped, the liq. level rises as the untreated liq. flows in the reaction tank. Therefore, the liq. can continuously be supplied into the reaction tank, regardless of whether or not the reaction is proceeding therein, and the anaerobic and aerobic decomposition is effected alternately, whereby the liq. can be treated with microorganisms. |
