<p>1363935 Pneumatic tyre reinforcements FIBER INDUSTRIES Inc 2 Nov 1971 [2 Nov 1970] 50830/71 Heading B7C [Also in Division C3] A pneumatic tyre comprises as reinforcement rubberized cord fabric prepared by forming polyethylene terephthalate fibre (see Division C3); making 1000 denier yarn from the fibre; forming cord from the yarn by twisting each of three strands of yarn to a twist level of 10 turns per inch "Z" and then twisting the three strands of yarn together to a twist level of 10 turns per inch "S"; treating the cord by adhesive and heat; laying cords at 24 ends per inch on 100% natural rubber gum; and calendering. The fabric may form a 2, 4 or 10 ply cross-ply carcass of the tyre, a 1-ply radial carcass of the tyre, or bead reinforcements and chafer strips of the tyre.</p> |
