The chemical treatment may comprise dipping in a bath containing 2À5% aqueous acetic acid to which 30% hydrogen peroxide is added in the proportion 40 ml./litre for 30 to 60 seconds, followed by washing with a solution of pH less than 4, e.g. 2À5% aqueous acetic acid. |
