PURPOSE: To improve a cylinder for hydraulic devices without incurring marked excess fee, even when operating pressure is high so that reduction in friction between components which are movable to each other, and therefore attaining improvement in efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic device, particularly a cylinder for automobiles consists of a casing 6 having an axial bore, a piston 1 is axially slidably guided in the casing 6, and the piston is loaded at one end face by pressure medium. The cylinder 6 is provided with at least one connection for at least one pressure pipe, and the piston 1 has a grooved ring 2 for seal. In order to improve the efficiency and reduce friction, the piston 1 is provided with a slip ring 3 at its outer side surface between the grooved ring 2 and the end face extending on the pressure side of the piston 1. The slip ring 3 prevents tilting of the piston 1, and causes reduction in pressure applied to the grooved ring 2. |
