PURPOSE:To allow easy and positive bending of a lead wire into C-shape by stretching both lead elements across the grooves made in the opposite side walls at a bend of parallel plates provided integrally, through a predetermined gap, at the end of a grip and then sliding the slide boards disposed on the outside of both side walls. CONSTITUTION:A bend 2 of parallel plates is provided integrally, through a predetermined gap, at the end of a grip 1 and grooves 3 are made symmetrically in the opposite side walls at the bend 2. Bending boards 7 exhibiting resiliency in the lateral direction are disposed slidingly along the opposite side walls at the bend 2 on the outside thereof. The bending boards 7 are provided integrally at the end of a slide board 4 sliding on the upper face of the grip 1 thus constituting a lead former. This structure allows bending of a lead wire at a predetermined interval by simply placing both lead elements across the groove at the bend and then sliding the slide boards back and force, thus realizing a lead former having simple structure which can be used cleanly and easily. |
