PURPOSE:To reduce the number of steps of work at a building construction site and to enable a duct heat insulating work to be carried out with a less number of persons by a method wherein the heat insulating plates preworked at a factory are transported into the building construction site and fixed to the duct. CONSTITUTION:In the case that a duct 1 has a section of rectangular shape, two heat insulating plates 21 and 21 cut to have the same width as a lateral size of the duct 1 are fixed to both upper and lower surfaces of the duct 1, and then the two heat insulating plates 22 and 22 cut to have a width in which a size of twice of plate thickness of each of the heat insulating plate is added to a longitudinal size of the duct 1 are fixed to both right and left side surfaces of the duct 1 in such a manner that the end portions of the upper and lower heat insulating plates 21 and 21 are covered. Then, end portion pressing sheets 2a and 2a projected at both sides of the upper and lower heat insulating plates 21 and 21 are bent or folded in such a manner that they cover the end portions of the heat insulating plates 22 and 22, each of the sheets 2a is adhered to each of the heat insulating plates 22 with adhesive tape 3. Preassembling of these heat insulating plates 21 and 22 is carried out in advance at a factory. |
