<p>PURPOSE:To retard the generation of corona even upon application of abnormal voltage by covering the outer peripheral surface at the conductor joint of a sleeve with an insulation treatment layer communicated with the terminal of a plastic insulator. CONSTITUTION:An insulation tape is wound around the outer peripheral surface at the conductor joint 2a of a sleeve 2 to form an insulation treatment layer 13 having one end in the layer direction extending from the forward end of the conductor joint 2a and communicating with the right angle cut end face 120 of a plastic insulator 12 while filling a valley having an exposed part of the conductor 11 as the bottom. Preferably, the insulation tape is brought into pressure contact, at the side edge thereof, with the end face 120 of the plastic insulator 12. This structure prevents the generation of corona due to abnormal voltage after long term use and prevents a streak of water from intruding to the outside of the sleeve 2 thus suppressing the damage upon occurrence of failure.</p> |
