The invention relates to an electronic device making it possible to isolate an electrical energy source without using a magnetic circuit. It consists of at least two stages of capacitive elements (A1, B1) each associated with a respective pumping stage (A, B). The substage (C) generates the pumping frequency, the substage (D) is synchronised to it. The substages (C, D) generate the orders for switching the pumping stages (A, B) guaranteeing a phase shift between all the switching; thus electrical energy is obtained at the output which is isolated from the energy present at the input. This device according to the invention is applicable anywhere electrical isolation is necessary; it enables miniaturisation. It does not radiate electromagnetic energy. It can be integrated into an integrated circuit. <IMAGE>
