<p>PURPOSE:To provide a light emission type color display having a high light emission efficiency and its manufacturing method. CONSTITUTION:The light emission type color display is composed of a glass substrate 2, red, green and blue transparent electrodes 4a-4c which are formed on it and quantum box layers 6a-6c which are collective units of quantum boxes only whose surface parts made of fine particles are oxide layers or nitride layers. The red light emitting quantum box layers 6a, the green light emitting quantum box layer 6b and the blue light emitting quantum box layer 6c are formed on the transparent electrodes 4a, 4b and 4c respectively. Further, an insulating film 8 which is so formed as to cover the quantum box layers 6a-6c and fill spaces between the quantum box layers 6a-6c and an upper electrode 10 which is formed on the insulating layer 8 are provided.</p> |
