摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a metal vapor laser which can be operated at extremely low temperature as compared with a conventional high-temperature metal vapor laser that uses metal vaporized by heating and besides can lessen heat loss and the damage of a member, and not only can oscillate a laser beam with high output but also can remarkably shorten the warming-up time. CONSTITUTION:This is a low-temperature metal vapor laser comprising a laser tube 1 in which metal 4 is etched in a plasma of reactive gas so that the metal 4 may be vaporized below its melting point for the purpose of laser oscillation.
