The invention relates to a device for controlling the grid of an X-ray tube, having a capacitor (Cp) located between the grid and the cathode, which comprises a source intended to establish and remove a high voltage across the terminals of the said capacitor (Cp) for a very short period of time, for blocking and reestablishing X-ray emissions, respectively, this source consisting of - a four-diode bridge (16) constituted by two branches connected together and each constituted by two diodes (D5, D7) and (D6, D8) mounted in series, one (D8) of which is connected to the terminals of the said capacitor (Cp): - an electronic circuit intended to supply and remove an electric charge to and from the said capacitor, connected at its output to the mid-points (M1, M2) of the two branches of the bridge (16); - an energy receiver (19), placed at the output of the diode bridge (16) and maintaining the voltage across the terminals of the capacitor (Cp) at the determined value.
