PURPOSE:To provide a laser driving device shortening a pulse width of test emission without necessitating a high speed process circuit and limiting no peak power at the time of emitting a pulse with upper limit power in continuous emission. CONSTITUTION:At the time of the test emission, a semiconductor laser 1 is emitted by a test signal (b) provided with the same pulse width as the pulse width of a recording signal (a) or the pulse width smaller than the pulse width of the signal (a) instead of the recording signal (a). The monitor signal of the light output of the semiconductor laser 1 is integrated by an integration circuit 11, and by controlling a driving current source so that the integration value becomes a prescribed reference value compared by a comparator 8, the driving current of the semiconductor laser 1 is obtained. |
