PURPOSE: To provide a modulated laser beam signal detector where drawbacks of conventional detector are overcome. CONSTITUTION: The modulated laser beam signal detector comprises a means 12 for detecting a laser signal, means for determining the pulse interval, means 24 for counting the number of a plurality of different pulse intervals being generated, means 28 for accumulating the counted numbers, and means 26 for processing the counted numbers to determine the weighted sum of the number of different pulse intervals. The modulated laser beam signal detector further comprises a means 22 for outputting a signal when the weighted sum of the number of different pulse intervals counted for different pulse intervals exceeds a predetermined threshold value thus detecting a modulated laser signal. |
