PURPOSE:To improve the balance of the peripheral light quantity of a picture projected on the screen of a liquid crystal panel and to reproduce the picture which is practically easily viewed without enlarging the aperture of a projection lens in a liquid crystal projector. CONSTITUTION:The center axis 18 of the reflection type liquid crystal panel 5 is arranged by being moved in the direction of an aperture diaphragm 6 (direction shown by an arrow 60) in parallel with the optical axis 17 of the projection lens 7. In comparison with a conventional liquid crystal projector constituted so that the center axis 18 is aligned with the optical axis 17, the balance of the peripheral light quantity of the picture projected on the screen 14 is improved. |
