PURPOSE: To make each protocol transmittable without assigning any different buffers to the protocols even when the transmission of transient data becomes impossible between a plurality of devices. CONSTITUTION: A method and device for buffering transient data transmitted between a plurality of protocols 222 utilize a single physical buffer 224 provided with a plurality of shift logic buffers 226. The logic buffers 226 in the physical buffer 224 are assigned to each protocol 222. The transient data are transmitted between the protocols 222 by shifting the corresponding logical buffer 226, namely, the first logic buffer 226 for excluding data and, at the same time, the next logical buffer so that the buffer may contain the same data. Therefore, the need of rewriting the data in the physical buffer 224 is eliminated.
