RADIO DATA COMMUNICATION SYSTEM WITH LABOUR-SAVING FUNCTION

PURPOSE: To efficiently use a radio medium and improve the power efficiency of synchronous operation by providing a step for converting the awake state of a nonselected station which is not discriminated in a discriminating step into a broadcast communication step and, after the discriminating step, into a doze state. CONSTITUTION: A LAN system 10 is provided with a main line LAN 12 which is a wired LAN and contains a cable 14 which connects base stations as access points 16. Each point 16 has an antenna 18 and can provide equipment which communicates with the LAN 12 with a server function by connecting a server 19 to the cable 14. The system 10 also contains mobile radio stations 20-1 to 20-4 and the stations 20-1 to 20-4 are respectively provided with antennas 22-1 to 22-4. All stations 20 communicate with each other through the points 16 and broadcast synchronizing message which discriminate the stations that receive data messages at regular intervals to multiple addresses. The stations 20 are synchronized to awake state each other for receiving the synchronous messages and traffic indicating information and, when the stations do not receive any message, set to doze states to reduce the power consumption and, accordingly, to save power of the stations.
