ELCTRICALLY CHARGING CONNECTOR FOR ELECTRIC AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To protect a chassis when a connector on a power source side for electric charging abuts against the chassis while the connector at the time of falling. CONSTITUTION:The whole tip periphery circumference of a approximately cylindrical shell 11 made of metal, (e.g. aluminum) of a connector 2 on a power source side is covered with a cap-like rubber cover 30. An engaging projection 32 having an almost T-shaped cross section is projected over the whole circumference in the circumferential direction in the vicinity of the tip of the shell 11. An engaging groove 34 having an approximately T-shaped cross section is formed over the whole circumference in the circumferential direction in the vicinity of the rear end of the rubber cover 30. The engaging groove 34 is engaged with the engaged projection 32, thus fixing the rubber cover 30 to the shell 11.
